Community Learning with Madar Farms

In September 2019, I reached out to Madar Farms to organize our EnviroMom Community visit to Bustani, a smart farming exhibition at Masdar City’s Eco-villa. Bustani showcased a range of emerging home-level technologies that address food production, water conservation, and waste management. The children learned about sustainable home farming solutions such as hydrophonics (growing food with water) and aquaponics (growing food using fish wastes), all whilst having fun through a “Scavenger hunt”.

There were over 20 families who participated in this event.
